Welcome to the Lazy T Ranch!

Hi, welcome to the Lazy T. We are located in the Flint Hills region of Kansas. The Flint Hills are a beautiful area, about 60 miles wide, with wonderful pastures - great for grazing cattle.

The Flint Hills are rivaled in their pasture quality only by the Pampas in Argentina, according to my husband Ron. The Flint Hills contain most of the remaining tallgrass prairie in the world. Here at the Lazy T, we have some of this native bluestem prairie, land that has never been broken/tilled - It is the same tallgrass prairie as when the Indians were here.

This is a picture of that tallgrass prairie meadow. This weekend, we baled hay from the meadow. Then we put the hay in the barn where it will be available this winter to feed our cattle, horse, sheep, goat and llama herds.

Ron and I and our four children have lived here at the Lazy T. This is where my husband grew up and my mother-in-law still lives. The Lazy T has crop ground as well as pasture, and our cattle and some horses are currently at our High Plains ranch not too far north of here. They will be coming back in October to winter at the Lazy T.
